Mark Cuban admits regrets about the sale of the magpie

Mark Cuban has always been one of the most outspoken people in the NBA, but even he admits that there isn't everything he expected as he did with the Dallas Mavericks.
Cuba sold 73% of its team to the Adelson family in 2023, a move that changed control of the team after two decades under his watch.
Although he still plays a role in the organization, the long-term owner admits that he will handle the process differently.
“I don’t regret selling the team, I regret my approach,” Cuba recently revealed on the DLLS podcast. “Will I still sell the team? Yes, for all the reasons I said 100 times. Will I do the same way? Absolutely not. I'll sell it, but I don't matter.
Even though Cuba still sits on the table, he acknowledged that the terms of the deal limit his ability to maintain direct involvement with players and daily operations.
“The contract terms did not show a road, and the contract did not lead to what I expected to happen,” Cuba said.
The sign of admission is exactly how much has changed in Dallas. The Mavericks are now without Luka Doncic entering their first full season, who was traded for Anthony Davis.
The new No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg led a franchise with Davis, a series that set up his reputation very differently from Cuba.
