Giannis Antetokounmpo does not hesitate to remind everyone why he is one of the world's most important players, having a show in his 2025 Eurobasket debut, where Greece ran through Kristaps Porzingis and Latvia.

Entering Wednesday's game, Latvia sat 2-2 in the warm-up match.

They beat Belgium and Montenegro but put the game to Serbia and Israel. As Antetokounmpo finally fits, the energy moves instantly.

The two NBA MVP burst out with eight points, three rebounds and two blocks in his first five minutes, helping Greece build an early double-digit advantage. His quick start sets the tone of the night and heralds a dominant performance.

By the halftime, the 2021 NBA Finals MVP accumulated 20 points, eight rebounds and two blocks, which was the trademark fusion of his power and skills and overwhelming Latvia.

Finally, when Greece raced 104-86, he scored 25 points and 10 rebounds in just 21 minutes.

The victory raised Greece's exhibition record to 3-2, with only two games left before the August 28 stage tips.

From there, Greece will face tough group plans to play against Italy, Cyprus, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Spain.

However, Spanoulis' lineup will not be fully capable. Thomas Walkup, who was defensively injured in the back for personal reasons, Giorgios Papagiannis was eliminated, while sharpshooter Nikos Rogkavopoulos chose not to play.

Even without the absence, the return of Antetokounmpo made Greece a serious medal threat. If he shows any signs of his opening performance for Latvia, the Greek freak is ready to chase the country's first European shoe in 20 years.
