Tyrese Haliburton despite calf injury

As the Pacers face elimination in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, everyone's eyes were staring at Tyreth Halliburton and his injuries.

The Pacers’ star guard is dealing with a nervous right leg and the team remains cautious.

However, Haliburton made it clear on Wednesday that he intends to play.

“I want to go there,” he told the media. Yahoo Sports'Vincent's kindness.

Haliburton was clearly restricted in Game 5, failing to score a single goal throughout the game.

According to head coach Rick Carlisle, he participated in Wednesday's drill but did not compete.

“It's a topic people want to hear and know. There will be a lot of questions about it. We won't really know until tomorrow afternoon or evening,” Carlisle said.

Halliburton did not underestimate it when asked directly about the risks involved.

“I think it depends on who you are asking,” Halliburton said. “You are asking me. I think I have to keep the smarts I want. I have to understand the risks and ask the right questions. … I am a competitor. I want to play. I want to play as much as I can. That's the truth.”

“It's the final, I've worked here all my life…If I can walk, I can play.”

In 2019, Kevin Durant suffered two-quarters of the achilles and returned from a calf problem in the final.

Halliburton acknowledged the risk but stressed the trust in the Pacers’ medical staff.

“Yes, I have a lot of trust in our medical staff,” Halliburton said. “I have a lot of trust in the right decisions of our organization. I think they have always trusted my body throughout my career. They believe I can make the right decisions of my body when the strength is in my hands. I'm trying to do that.”
