Grizzlies rookie Zach Edey quotes reckless driving

Memphis Grizzly Center Zach Edey reportedly had a legal trouble with clocks at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour during a traffic stop in Indiana.
According to Fox 59, Edey was pulled at Tippecanoe County’s alma mater, Tippecanoe County, after an Indiana police soldier who grabbed his fast drive “at a 55 mph area at 55 mph.”
According to police reports, the officer said Eddie's northbound Kia Sorrento flew over his cruiser after 7:00 pm
The soldier turned around and caught up with Edey near 700 Tipicano County Road and started the stop.
Eddie reportedly told the officer that he was “trying to pass the vehicle” at the time, but did not provide any further explanation.
The former Purdue star is now facing misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and speeding.
He is scheduled to hold a court hearing at the Tipiccano High Court on Monday, June 24.
Eddie's legal team has not issued a statement yet, and the Grizzlies have not commented publicly.
His status with training camp has remained the same so far, but depending on the court's outcome, it may not be maintained.
Edey was selected as ninth by Memphis at last year's NBA Draft, after leading Purdue to the NCAA Championship in 2024. During his rookie season with the Grizzlies, he averaged 9.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
