Freight trucks commit sexual assault in Los Angeles forest
Authorities said he lured women to commit to camping trips to Angeles National Forest and then attacked them with a van he specifically equipped for sex crimes.
Eduardo Sarabia was sentenced to more than 25 years in a plea agreement on Friday.
Sarabia, 41, has no competing for rape, lewdness with minors under the age of 14, kidnapping and mandatory verbal mating. He was charged last year with camping in San Gabriel Mountains, luring two women into his van travel, just sexually assaulting them in secluded forests along Highway 39, according to court records and a departmental release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff. Sarabia was arrested the night of the second attack, the press release said.
He has not yet defended them for sexual assault charges against two children that occurred between 2010 and 2012 and two children that occurred between 2021 and 2022. The victim stood up after Sarabia was arrested last year.
According to footage from news media KTTV, the van that Sarabia once committed was also his home.
Video shows behind the metal partition on the van is a dyed mattress, condoms, children's toys, ropes and other household items. The van also has an external lock system that is inaccessible from the inside.
Several victims are ready to testify before Sarabia defends all charges.
He will be sentenced to 25 years and eight months without probation. He has served more than one year in prison since his arrest.
