Our knowledge of the NBA Finals so far – proposed by NEDS

This NBA Finals article is brought to you by NEDS.

We seem inevitable Oklahoma City Thunder faces the Indiana Pacers in the 2025 NBA Finals, which may officially represent the end of the Super League era.

After the recent success of the Boston Celtics, this year’s finalists once again show that the depth-based team is still surviving a tough NBA schedule compared to the strategy that is still using a “two or three-star salary cap filler” strategy.

Let's look at the chances of two teams entering Friday Game 1:

OKC Thunder and Lightning

The youngest team in the league has the best record, the MVP of the new crown and draft picks for at least the next five years. If OKC manages to finish the work this year, it’s not hard to imagine that they might be at the beginning of a new dynasty.

Just started with a five-game sale of Minnesota to come to the Western Conference, it seems complacency will be the only ability to stop the power's NBA champion.

SGA’s ruthless score in these playoffs and the rise of Jalen Williams makes OKC a classic one or two combo, but that’s the quality of depth of Chet Holmgren, Lu Dort, Alex Caruso, Alex Caruso, Alex Caruso, Isaiah Hartenstein and Woy Promispter Cason Wallace, Cason Wallace, Aaron Wiggins and Isaiiaiaiaiaiaiaia joo. The +24.6-point difference in home games during these playoffs makes the home advantage alone seem enough to get the Thunder to get the job done.

Indiana Pacers

The walker continues like a fairy tale! From fourth place in the Eastern Conference to its first NBA finals since 2000, Indiana has seen some of the most memorable comebacks in playoff history. Considering that they are actually January below January, the current form can now be extended almost six months.

Perhaps more important than OKC, the Pacers can hurt you in many ways offensively, with six players scoring over 10 points in the playoffs (Thunder has three players on average over 10 times). Although they have been able to outperform their opponents so far, defensively, they need to find a way to slow down OKC, as they ranked 13th in 16 playoffs this year against 113.3 points per game.

One of the 2025 finalists will take their first NBA title of all time, and while it's hard to find anything specific to make you think it's going to be a Thunder game, the Pacers have already performed more than once in the playoffs in these playoffs, but the results aren't always won on paper.
