When they arrived in Los Angeles County, hundreds of bikes disappeared. 5 held

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's investigators, five men stolen hundreds of bicycles, robbed them with a carefully planned plan as the bicycles drove from distributors to Los Angeles County.
According to detectives from the Sheriff’s Cargo Crime Arrest Team, the truck driver was redirected and used vans and passenger vehicles to transport the stolen goods to a waiting warehouse.
The bike was recovered and with the Utah Ari Bikes on April 21, theft of 337 bicycles at the Sheriff’s Compton Station, worth about $1.7 million.
Detectives worked with the bicycle community and ARI to identify multiple suspects and warehouses suspected of stolen goods in housing.
Two multi-level search warrants are provided. Detectives discovered 288 stolen bicycles and other stolen goods. The five suspects were detained and investigators are continuing to inspect “they are directly involved in ARI bicycle theft,” sheriff’s officials said.
The detainees were identified as Samvel Karapetyan, 38; Vazgen Avagyan 36; Narek Badalyan, 32; Vladimir Gyulankaryan, 32; and Davit Grigoryan, 40.
Detectives say they have observed an increasing maturity of criminals, valuable goods that will be shipped to Southern California in recent years.
Sheriff Calvin Mah told The Times that thieves have surpassed breaking into trailers and entering electronic transmission systems.
Computers, high-end drugs and other expensive products have become key targets for cargo theft, purifying millions of dollars.
Last month, Los Angeles police recovered nearly $4 million in stolen goods in a case involving South American crime rings that looted coffee, tequila, shoes, shoes, shower gel, pet food, pet food and bitcoin mining computers from tractor trailers and other locations.
