WhatsApp finally launches the official version of iPad
The wait (finally) ends. There is an Apple iPad. In just 16 years, WhatsApp first entered the scene in 2009. In fact, the messaging platform predates the iPad itself, which was launched in 2010.
The iPad has a lot more screen real estate than smartphones offer, and the Meta seems to make good use of the extra space. The app takes advantage of the tablet's multitasking features such as Split View and Slide coff, so users can view multiple applications at once. This allows people to browse the web while chatting with friends, for example.
The iPad version of the app also works with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, which should speed up conversations. It allows up to 32 people to make video and audio calls and integrates with the front and rear cameras. Just like other versions of WhatsApp, cross-device chat sync. WhatsApp for iPad is now available through the App Store.
One comes down and the other goes. We're still waiting for the meta to make. Recent reports show that after 15 years of long term, we all have to use resized iPhone apps and pretend we like ourselves.
