Premier Li said China considers new economic policy tools
Beijing (Reuters) – China is weighing new policy tools in the face of an international economic and trade order that is “severely affected” by the international economic and trade order, with the Chinese Prime Minister holding a seminar with Chinese companies in Jakarta over the weekend.
“The split between industrial and supply chains has deepened and trade barriers have increased, which has had a big impact on economic development in all countries,” the state news agency reported on Sunday.
The Chinese Prime Minister said China is working on new policy tools, including some “unconventional measures” that will be introduced as the situation changes.
Li also said that China will continue to strengthen economic cooperation with more countries to support the development of overseas business of Chinese companies.
Huawei, SAIC Motor and New Hope Group were Chinese companies at the seminar.
Lee will make a three-day visit to Indonesia on Monday and will then travel to Malaysia to attend the ASEAN-GCC-CHINA summit.
