BMW's latest concept is a three-door tour sedan, we hope one as soon as possible

BMW rarely sells American station wagons, which is limited

BMW has turned to the future at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Lake Como, Italy, an event to celebrate historic vehicles. The automaker has shown a stunning new gorgeous touring sedan concept that is expected to be purchased in the “small series” of collectors and BMW enthusiasts. Take a look, though, and you will agree that companies should consider offering it to the public.

Adrian Van Hooydonk, BMW Group's design leader, called the concept speed “the automotive industry is very unique.” The car “reimagines” what the tour class should be, blending elegance with performance and still spacious in a unique small footprint. BMW began creating cohesive flows from the outside to the inside, saying it focused on every fit and finish on the car.

Concept speed looks incredible

Concept speed concept speed sharp, headlight sharp nose. The small grill (against BMW's “beaver teeth” grill on modern vehicles) is illuminated, adding a panache to the retro cool design. A “spline” protrudes through the center of the hood midway through the roof and disappears into the clever rear roof spoiler. This is a sensation that suggests movement.

Around the back, the concept speed is pure BMW Tour sedan. The wide rear window has a familiar BMW tailgate lip that dips into the large rear bumper. Like the front end, the rear light is slim, accounting for half the rear width of the concept speed.

The two-toned 14-spoke wheels are designed specifically for concept speed, and the roof combines two new colors: “Floating Sunstone Maroon” and “Floating Sunset Silver”, both designed to emphasize the vehicle's roofline and wide posture. Inside, “Sunset Maroon” remains in the floating sunstone maroon, bringing the outside brown tones to the inside. The seats are partly set with a two-tone seat, with a “moon white” color, whose aesthetic distinguishes the “dynamic” and “functional” areas of the car.

Leather headlines continue into the rear cargo area, which is divided into two parts so you can hide items during longer trips. And, with BMW collaborating with Italian leather craft Schendoni, two pieces of crafted luggage for the concept Speedtop that bring the color of the vehicle to your bag.

Concept speed limit is 70 units and packaged with A V8

BMW says its “most powerful” V8 will be designed as a two-seater with a spacious interior under the hood of concept speed. This may make the vehicle one of the smallest, most powerful limited-run vehicles we have encountered, full of custom-made luxury style throughout the process.

Thankfully, BMW has expanded its limited edition product this year, noting that last year’s concept Skytop is limited to 50 units with a “positive response”. To this end, BMW's concept fast production on the stage has increased it to 70.

The final thought

BMW didn't mention how to buy a vehicle or the cost. However, collectors and enthusiasts have their own channels, so we hope BMW will only sell these directly to serious, serious parties. If it's you, take a quick action as the concept Speedtop is now available to purchase.

BMW's latest concept is a three-door tour sedan, and we hope to see an ASAP on Autoblog for the first time on May 25, 2025
