According to the report, Apple's AI smart glasses will arrive in 2026.

Apple's perception of smart glasses next year may come, according to a report by Bloomberg Thursday. While the description of the specifications sounds a lot like what Meta and Google do in the space, Apple has a reputation among fashion-forward and iconic products that can help set it apart.
The glasses are expected to ship in late 2026 with cameras, microphones and speakers, as well as multimodal AI that can respond to requirements via Siri, and can “see” and analyze the wearer's environment, Bloomberg reported.
The report, just two days after Google's I/O meeting, revealed more details about its Android XR platform to create smart glasses, along with partners including Warby Parker.
Apple's smart glasses will be different from the company's Vision Pro VR headsets, a carefully scrutinized but bulky and expensive product that fails to attract consumers.
The Bloomberg report also said Apple is canceling plans to place cameras in its Apple Watch devices.
Apple did not immediately respond to CNET's request for comment.
Will Apple's smart glasses be more the same?
According to the report, Apple's smart glasses will be equipped with a camera, microphone and speakers, all of which are required for the AI capabilities expected to be obtained from it. Wearers will be able to perform a variety of actions on smartphones today, such as controlling music playback and asking Siri questions.
However, AI Smarts will be able to see what users do, unlike Google's Gemini Live Camera mode and Meta's Ray-Ban glasses currently available. But like the AI-powered Siri, we're still waiting patiently that Apple's smart glasses might be special if the device goes off.
According to people who were not named, Apple plans to start making prototypes by the end of this year. It is expected that the special chip chips designed specifically for the product can also be shipped.
Apple's goal is augmented reality
Obviously, these glasses are not Apple's true ambitions. The report said Apple’s ultimate goal is to create a pair of augmented reality glasses, and the product is just a milestone. Although augmented reality has been around for some time, we have not seen proper implementation of smart glasses yet, but we know it is coming.
This is far from the first time we have heard that Apple is looking to create AR glasses or products that are heading forward in a Meta ray seeded way. Apple doesn't usually have problems with its products late, so it can be assumed that it won't rush to use a reliable product segment.
