Indonesian ride-sharing drivers demand higher wages

“The company doesn't consider our fuel needs, parking fees or other needs. They just ransom us as drivers.”

In Jakarta, protests are concentrated near the presidential office, parliament building and the Ministry of Transport office, hundreds of drivers gathered together wearing trademark green coats and helmets.

Drivers use speakers to speak and carry posters to criticize their so-called unfair and exploitative corporate policies. The driver also rode flags through some of Jakarta's main streets.

Goto's unit Gojek has more than 3.1 million motorcycle drivers and Grab's troops have occupied the Indonesian market for many years.
