Warriors General Manager Mike Dunleavy speaks to host the ceremony during the playoffs

The hosts during the 2025 period were a hot topic of discussion, with Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy sharing his honest thoughts about it.

Some believe that the referee allows players to be too physical during the game, and Dunleavy feels about the officials.

“I think it’s an interesting dichotomy because obviously, in the regular season, the league, the fans, everyone wants this open, free-flowing game, a lot of points, all of these things,” Dunleavy said.

“But when you flip the playoff page, everyone gets used to physically, hard possessions, and whether it’s the players, fans, coaches, everyone wants. So, we put the referees in a tough place, and suddenly, the playoffs kicked off, and now, people want them to expect, ‘Hey, we hope they can play more.

“It’s a tough place [referees are] exist. There is a lot of discussion about it. I think this is good. I think playoff basketball is the best. We have to keep playing as before, but we have to find a balance. ”

In Game 3 of the second round, the Warriors made a foul with four minutes and 38 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr challenged the phone, but later admitted he had no problem with the game's ceremony.

“I thought [Green foul] We challenged it was an allegation,” Kerr said. “…We thought it was an allegation, but these were always subjective calls and you were just living with them. I don't like it [Green’s] The sixth one, but it doesn't matter. Calls are them. Sometimes they will go your way, sometimes they won't. So, I haven't given it yet [Green’s fouls] The second thought today.

“As I said, I think the officials did a very good job [Saturday]. And we just need to play a better role. ”
