Her testimony sometimes contains graphic descriptions of sexual behavior, which she says she disagrees. She lay on the floor, “in a position I couldn't leave easily,” she said, escorting her pee in the direction of Mr. Combs until she choked and she raised her hand. “Shawn finally saw me and told him to stop,” she said.
She said she stayed to make Mr. Combs happy.
Ms. Ventura's relationship with Mr. Combs was intermittent for more than a decade, and he described falling in love with Mr. Combs and joining the freak because she wanted to make him happy.
She testified: “When you fall in love with someone who doesn’t want to let them down.”
But as the years went by, she said, even though he still tried to please him, she realized that he had become increasingly abused, beat her up, and planned more downgrade sessions, which made her feel that her career was no longer music but performed for Mr. Combs' sexual satisfaction.
Mr Combs' attorney described the intercourse as consent and denied any obsession with them. But Ms. Ventura tried to explain why she didn't end the relationship, describing fear, not only Mr. Combs' anger, but also the fact that he had videos that could be used to blackmail her freaks.
The judge denied the request to downplay Ms. Ventura's obvious pregnancy.
Ms. Ventura is always expected to be a star witness to the prosecution. Her November 2023 lawsuit accused Mr. Combs of repeated rape and repeated abuse in a decade-long relationship, and began a federal investigation, which led to his prosecution. Questions about her career – why she released only one album on Mr. Combs' Bad Boy Label, and then mostly disappeared from the music industry – Combs has had a long impact on it.
But Ms. Ventura, a more dramatic figure in the stands than expected, testified in the third semester of her recent pregnancy – so far, the defense lawyer asked the judge to consider sitting in the witness box before the jury enters the jury so that her pregnancy visibility does not harm the jury’s jury against Mr. Combs.
