A missing British teenager in Thailand has been reportedly arrested in Georgia

A British teenager who disappeared while traveling in Thailand was arrested in Georgia.
Bella May Culley, 18, appeared for the last time in Pattaya, a city in the eastern Southeast Asian country.
But on Tuesday, it was revealed that she was arrested thousands of miles in Georgia, the Caucasus region.
Cleveland police said Georgian authorities said she was arrested and detained for suspected drug crimes.

The teenager appeared in court and was remanded in custody.
Her attorney asked for bail, but the judge denied it after prosecutors were concerned about her absconding.
If found guilty, Ms. Cooley could face up to 20 years or even life imprisonment.

The teenager's family, from Billingham, in Garham, had earlier appealed to the public for any information about his whereabouts.
Ms. Cooley's mother, Lyanne Kennedy, said her daughter traveled in the Philippines in April and then flew to Thailand on May 3.
“After Easter, she flew to the Philippines after Easter, where she stayed for three weeks,” Mrs. Kennedy told Teesside Live.
“She was posting a lot of photos and then went to Thailand about May 3.
“The last message she sent was to me, and it was at 5.30pm on Saturday, saying she would go to face me in the future.

Ms. Cooley's father and aunt Neil and Kerrie Culley flew to Thailand to try to find her as her family reminded her of missing police in Thailand and the UK.
“We have been confirmed by Georgia authorities that an 18-year-old woman from Billingham has been arrested on suspicion of drug crimes and she remains in custody,” a Cleveland police spokesman said Tuesday.
