Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Tuesday allegedly caught fire in a private home of Prime Minister Keir Starmer, another property linked to Starmer and a car.

The Metropolitan Police Force said the suspect was detained for alleged arson in an attempt to endanger life the day after the fire damaged the door of the house early Monday morning, Starmer and his family lived before being elected to the country.

Police said the arrest involved two other fires that could be related to it – a vehicle fire near the Starmer house on Sunday, a fire broke out at a property in another part of north London on May 8. The second property is a house converted to an apartment, which is also associated with Starmer.

Starmer does not currently live in his private house. Since taking office in July, Starmer has lived with his family in the Prime Minister's official Downing Street residence.

The Metropolitan Police Force said Counter-terrorism detectives are leading the investigation because of the House’s previous “connections to high-profile public figures.”

Neighbor Charles Grant said police searched his yard on Monday, “they were looking for projectiles.”

“From what people told me today, I gathered and threw bombs in Keir Starmer's house,” he said.

Starmer's house used to attract protesters. Last year, three pro-Palestinian militants were arrested and charged with public order crimes, after wearing banners with red handprints outside the building.
