In vulgar words, one of Russia's most prominent officials rejected Ukraine's 30-day ceasefire proposal from Monday.

Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian president and current deputy director of the National Security Council, inserted the plan in an article on X, writing in English that its authors could “push these peace plans to your Pangender Asses!”

The ceasefire proposal was made by Friedrich Merz of Germany, Emmanuel Macron of France, Keir Starmer of Britain and Donald Tusk of Poland on Saturday to talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Leaders also warned that if Russia rejects the plan, sanctions will be followed.

“Macron, Mels, Steamer and Ivory should discuss peace in Kiev. Instead, they are separated from the threat to Russia,” Medvedev is known for his frequent use of inflammatory language.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia will not be affected by sanctions until the end. He argued that no ceasefire allowed Kiev to reposition its troops and named the pause of Western military a prerequisite for Moscow to consider a 30-day truce.
