Kevin Durant didn't waste time calling out the narrative he thought was wrong, and this time, it came from a former teammate.
Four-time All-Star Demarcus Cousins claimed that last season, the Phoenix Suns' locker room “Absolute” fist in the episode “Run Run It Back” Friday morning.
Comments started circulating online almost immediately.
Durant grabbed the edit, he didn't.
“I have to compete for this 94 page race. Here are some bulls – yes. Yes, yes, we're rubbish this year hahahaha, but we've never been close to this. Never,” Durant wrote on X.
The sun collapses in 2024-25. The Star trio of Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal couldn't even rank in the top 10 in the West and completely missed the game. But where Durant draws the lines is a physical dispute.
Cousins spent part of the 2018-19 season with Golden State and did not back down.
“The source is one of your teammates Kira. I didn't mean you! Save this S-T for others.” He answered Durant on X directly.
Cousins also criticized the Suns’ lineup construction on the show, saying, “Phoenix is a bad situation for jumping. They put a team based on a name. It’s by no means a meaningful team. You just put a bunch of scorers together and put some other names together and say ‘Win the championship.’” That’s not how basketball games work. ”
Since then, that part of Fanduel TV's Run Run It Back has been removed from X.
Durant is expected to trade in the offseason, and Phoenix may move in a new direction after the Big Three experiments. Meanwhile, Bradley Beal's $250 million contract has two years left, making it almost impossible for him to move.
