Israeli drone strike kills Hamas members in Lebanon's port city

Beirut (AP) – A car in southern Lebanon killed a man earlier Wednesday, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.

Security officials at the scene told the Associated Press that the person killed at the Seaton Port was a member of the Palestinian Hamas Group.

Over the past 19 months, Israeli troops have targeted members of Hamas, Lebanon, where Palestinian groups have military presence.

The group has also launched a rocket attack in Lebanon since the Israel Hamas War began on October 7, 2023, and in recent weeks, Lebanese authorities have detained several people related to Hamas for allegedly firing rockets at Israel.

Lebanese authorities warned last week that if it conducts any attacks on Lebanon, it will face “the toughest measures.”
