Video shot by the bystander shows employees trying to walk away but are followed and mocked by fans. In the video, the employee finally responds by punching.

The employee appeared to have hit the fans under his feet five times in the head. Later, the fan saw spitting at the employee, who then took off his belt and started whipping the fan.

The Pirates issued a statement to CBS saying the employee has been suspended and the matter is under investigation:

“We are aware of the unfortunate incident that happened yesterday after the match between the PNC Park Game Day staff and guests. The employee's behavior was completely unacceptable and he was immediately suspended. This incident is currently under further investigation.”
