Swedish court convicted one man of membership, three

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) – The Swedish Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that one person was guilty of a member of a terrorist group because it swore loyalty to the Islamic State and insisted on the lower court's ruling, while three other convictions were overturned.
The Swedish security department arrested the people last year, and prosecutors later accused them of becoming members of terrorist groups between September 2023 and March 2024.
But the SVEA Court of Appeal said in a statement Thursday that it did not believe the three are now acting on behalf of the ISIS armed group.
“But, the person who swore allegiance was also convicted in the Court of Appeal,” it said.
None of these four men pleaded guilty.
