Olas man wrongly accused of death in chiefs parade shooting

Kansas City, Missouri – A Kansas man in Kansas has been wrongly accused of being a “shooter” and “illegal alien” at the Chiefs Super Bowl rally in 2024.
Attorney Arthur Benson confirmed to FOX4 that Denton Loudermill Jr. was found dead by his family. The cause of death has not been released yet.

The fatal shooting at the Chiefs Super Bowl rally took place on February 14, 2024.
Republican Rep. Tim Burchett posted on X that X mistakenly identified the rally shooter.
The post said the Sagittarius was identified as an “illegal alien.” It has a picture of Big Mill sitting on the sidewalk. However, the Kansas City Police Department posts scattered on social media said that Laudermere had nothing to do with the shooting and that day they actually detained many people who were not involved.
Loudermill said the positions lead to death threats and mental distress, such as anxiety, restlessness and sleep disruptions.
He filed a lawsuit against Burchet, seeking $75,000 in damages. But last September, a federal judge in Kansas approved Burchett's motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
A month later, a judge filed three lawsuits against three Republican Missouri senators: Rick Bradin of Harrisonville, Danny Hoskins of Warrensburg and Nick Schroer of St. Charles County.
The judge listed the issue of jurisdiction. Loudermill from Olathe was filed in federal court in Kansas, not Missouri where lawmakers came from.
The shooting outside Union Station killed a famous radio DJ and injured more than 20, many of them children.
Loudermill’s lawsuit says he freezes when the gunfire broke out and stands in the middle of chaos that police have already released the crime scene video when they finally start walking away. When he tried to walk under the tape, the officer stopped him and told him that he was “too slow”. The lawsuit says they put him on the curbside where he was wearing it and people started taking pictures and posting it on social media.

Loudermill was eventually taken out of the area and told him he could go freely.
Benson told FOX4 that the lawsuit will continue to represent Loudermill even after his death.
Another Loudermill lawyer, Laronna Lassiter Saunders, issued the following statement to FOX4 on Friday night.
“We are sad to share the news of Mr. Ludmir's death. More details will be provided in time, but for the time being, we ask you to respect the family's need for privacy as they come together to grieve for this huge loss.”
“While the family spent this time mourning, we want to make it clear that it is not over yet. Mr. Laudermere shouldn't spend his last days burdening the pressure and lie about the careless and ruthless actions of Congressmen, Missouri senators and social media influencers, the truth that they can't be disturbed before destroying people's lives.”
“If you think we were confirmed before, you haven’t seen anything yet!”
