Giannis solves a wild confrontation with Tyrese Haliburton's father

Giannis Antetokounmpo talks about the incident between him and Tyrese Haliburton's father.

The Pacers eliminated the Bucks with a 119-118 victory and entered the second round, which was very tight in the last few minutes.

After the buzzer, the Bucks star had a fierce exchange with Halliburton’s father.

After things cooled down, Giannis was frustrated by his disrespect to Haliburton's father, who reportedly faced him, waving his towel and shouting insults.

Giannis told the media: “He showed me a towel with Tyres’ face and said, ‘This is what we are going to do.

He added: “Near me, the thief was out of the stitches, so I wouldn't say what he said was to avoid being fined, but that was not respectful.”

Giannis stressed the importance of humility in victory, noting that “some people don’t know how to be humble in victory.” He compared it with his own family’s approach and noted that they were away from people’s concerns and avoided such confrontation.

“I'm happy for him, I'm happy for his son, I'm happy to make him happy. But it's totally unacceptable to face me, disrespect me, and curse me.”

Halliburton did not object to Giannis's view at his own press conference.

“I got a little bit dark after winning,” said the Pacers guard. “As far as the event between Giannis and my pop music, I didn't know it was until I got back to the back. I talked to pop music since then, and I didn't agree with what happened from him. He needed to allow me to play basketball. I would talk to Giannis.

He added: “We're going to have a conversation. I'm going to have a conversation with Giannis. Unfortunately, we're all adult men.”
