After the car accident, the hard building of Saint Vincent was evacuated. How hospitals affect

St. Vincent Hospital evacuated one of its medical offices on April 22 after a valet drove the car into the building.

The accident occurred in the afternoon at the tough building at 2315 Myrtle Street, St., which officials said in a statement. The driver was taken to the St. Vincent Emergency Room located near the hard building for treatment.

Hospital officials said the valet was in a stable condition.

After the accident, Saint Vincent evacuated the tough building as a safety precaution. A structural engineer plans to inspect the building later in the day to ensure its safety is done before allowing internal patients, visitors and staff.

Hospital procedures have been rescheduled

St. Vincent Hospital employees investigated the scene of an April 22 accident at the Hardner building at 2315 Myrtle Street when a vehicle crashed into a medical building adjacent to Erie Hospital.

Hospital staff contacted the patient and rescheduled an appointment at the Hardner building. St. Vincent's emergency rooms and other areas of the hospital remain open.

Traffic from medical helicopters is rerouted from Saint Vincent as Helipad is located on top of a hard building. Ambulance traffic has not been affected yet and emergency room parking lots are still open.
