Anthony Davis and Jason Kidd Address Luka Doncic Returns to Dallas

Mavericks big Anthony Davis and head coach Jason Kidd shared their thoughts on facing Lakers star Luka Doncic, who will return to the American Airlines Center for the first time since shocking the NBA world.

His former coach Kidd tried to downplay the game into another game scheduled.

“Just another home game,” Kidd told reporters.

Despite his attempt to ask, he could not deny that the atmosphere would be something else.

“It should be electric,” Kidd said of the atmosphere. “I think fans will be happy to see Luca. We're happy to figure out how to protect it. [our] Home. ”

Davis was asked about the highly anticipated showdown between him and his former team and was not eager to share his true thoughts.

“No emotions,” Davis said.

Kidd admits he hasn't spoken with Doncic since the February deal.

“No, I don't,” Kidd said, Lakers Nation said.

But if he does talk to Luka, he will have a message:

“He kept smiling,” Kidd said. “He's in a great place when he smiles and he's having fun. It's great to see him smiling here over and over again, just knowing that the business of basketball can be shocking, it's shocking for the world, but you have to move forward, but you have to move forward, you have to move forward. He has a job to do.

Kidd added: “This game will get a lot of attention when you look at what Luka might be going through, but the train keeps moving. This game will come and understand that he will be one of the best players in the world and the Lakers are lucky to have him.”
