The long battle of the stunt performer’s Oscar-recognized battle finally ended with victory. Today, the Academy announced that it will add the stunt category starting in 2028 to commemorate the 2027 release of the film. Even better, nominees and categories will be included as part of the awards ceremony.
According to Variew, the honor will be officially called the Stunt Design Achievement Award. In a statement on the deal, Jeff Wolfe, president of the Stetman Association, expressed happiness for the news.
