Lego's Shire suit should be hobbit-sized

After many years Hobbit The release of the movie, Lego Lord of the Rings Line has established itself as one of the annual snacks for brick makers, first offering Rivendell’s incredibly lush replicas in 2023, followed by last year’s tough Dark Tower from Barad-Dûr. 2025, Lego ring. But while Hobbits overcome their half-body bias, the qualities of any other medieval mortal race, perhaps the effects of this latest release may be better served by smaller rather than larger.
Lego recently provided the latest copy to IO9 Lord of the Rings Icon series set, charles, for review. After a properly relaxing weekend tinkering with the restaurant, we're here to tell you what works and what doesn't, while LEGO continues to open some of the most famous areas in middle age.
How long does it take to build a Lego Lord of the Rings County suit?
Shire Lord of the Rings So far, there is a large margin. This not only makes it a very swinging build: The Shire is broken down into a main display piece – a copy of the end of the bag as it appears at the opening ring– A series of unconnected mini-buildings can then surround its location, including Gandalf’s horse and firework carts, and replicating several pieces of Bilbo’s birthday celebrations on the Shire Party Tree, which are much less complex.
Even the bag end is broken down into three separate versions, so despite its relative variance, it is simple enough. Depending on your speed, you can easily complete six to eight hours of builds in an afternoon. you Can If you want, have a long weekend that is truly hobbit-style and do it slowly.
How many mini-views are there in Lego Lord of the Rings County suit?
The Shire comes with nine small, one human (well, human) and eight hobbits: Gandalf Grey, Frodo and Bilbo Bagkins, Samwe Gangj, Meli and Piping, Rosie Cotton, and then the farmer's pride and his wife. Rosie and Proudfoots made their debut here, while Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin and Bilbo have updated their prints to get them inspired by their outfits in Bilbo's 111th birthday rave to differentiate them from the 2023 version of the Rivendell suit. Frodo and Sam are the only ones now Lord of the Rings All icon settings have included characters so far!
Each small material from Rosie comes with the right relevant accessories. Gandalf has his wizard staff and a series of fireworks and provides other parts for his cart to depict him without a hat or sitting in his cart (Frodo also includes, and also seated with him). Merry and Pippin included alternative hairpins to reproduce the moment they were launched sharply in Gandalf’s dragon fireworks, Bilbo owned a ring, Farmer Proudfoot had a broom, Mrs. Proudfoot had a particularly large parsnip, and Sam had a pair of garden cuts. Sir, you know, because when he didn't leave it, he didn't have the eaves.
It's Lego Lord of the Rings Is it difficult to build a county?
Unlike Rivendell and Barad-Dûr, the county is the easiest Lord of the Rings So far, architecturally speaking. There are some interesting details here and there, especially how the front end of the bag end is built, filled with a small amount of neat details such as fences and round windows, but by contrast, the interior of the Hobbit Cave is relatively small with only three small small illustrations, while the Bilbo's study includes the kitchen, the kitchen, and the driveway including the entrance. This is a noticeable improvement to the smaller zoomed version of the Bag End Lego released in 2012 Hobbit OK, but considering that this is only more than three times the fragment (cost Significantly More; more later), this is not surprising.
This helps you recreate the party scene of Bilbo to avoid the overly complicated ending of Bag: cake shelves, a small tent (you can place a round green mound on the ground, plant green fireworks on the ground), and place the party tree itself against it, which helps to avoid the end of the bag: cake shelves (you can place a round green mound) and put it the same Dragon Man. But, for better or worse, these three are relatively small distractions.
Is LEGO County a better LEGO fan or Lord of the Rings fan?
If you are going to do complex construction on the level of Rivendell or Barad-Dûr, you won't get it. While the end of the bag itself is good and has some interesting little engineering details – the particular highlight is the turning mechanism in its fireplace, so you can rotate a burning letter with a hidden ring to recreate the moment of the Gandalf and Frodo test to see if it is really the allegorical ring. However, the satellite structure of the Bilbo party is so basic that it feels like unnecessary padding. The party tree is paradoxically one of the worst and best parts of the building: the included fabric banners for Bilbo birthdays are great, and the cute mechanical effects can also rotate part of the stands, so you can depict the Bilbo disappearing with the ring, but the tree itself looks great horrible For a high-end collection. Although it is also a basic building, the random trees in Rivendell are more luxurious and extravagant, while the included trees look more like branches than the large, lush trees we see in the movie.
This is the killer issue of the collection. The bag end looks and feels great as a display work Lord of the Rings Fans, but it feels like it can also look betterif its parts count is committed to providing more space on the outside, even covering it with a more enclosed exterior. The extra build of Bilbo's party has cute details that these fans will also appreciate, but they are so basic (unlike Rivendell or Barad-Dûr's case, neither of them are part of the larger display basis) that they just feel like the relics. If you like the aesthetics of the Hobbit and the Shire, that kit looks important, but then you arrive other Oliphaunt was in the room.
How much does Lego cost Lord of the Rings County suit? Is it worth it?
The price of the Shire will cost up to $260, which is certainly much lower than the shocking price of Rivendell ($500) and Barad-Dûr ($460), but that's also much lower than both compared to that price. Builds aren't too much fun even if you question whether an assisted build is really worth including. While perfect for the setup, these small materials do not stand out with the choice of Rivendell or Barad-Dûr. In this economy, even if the LEGO price is getting higher and higher, $260 feels like a leap, and you can't even abandon the dwarves.
Either the more detailed bag end at a similar price or the smaller kit can cut the extra build (perhaps in several sizes), but the price of $200 may make the stinging sharp changes. But despite their much higher prices (and, given that they are only available through Lego, the discount is rarer than Mithril), Rivendell or Barad-Dûr has better options for Lego or Lord of the Rings Fans are going better than this.
