Campbell serves as an assistant coach through the 2024-25 season, his second season with the Senators. He previously served as an assistant in the Ontario Hockey League with Brantford, where he won the league championship in the 2021-22 season.
Campbell, 37, has spent the majority of his 11-year career in the AHL, appearing in 719 games with the Manchester Monarchs (2008-14), Portland Pirates (2014-15), Toronto Marlies (2015-17), Tucson Roadrunners (2017-18) and Rockford IceHogs (2018-19). The guard totaled 36 goals, 113 assists, 149 points, a +92 rating and served as a captain for a total of four seasons with the Monarchs, Marlies and Roadrunners. In 2019, he was selected as captain of the West Team for the AHL All-Star Classic.
Campbell, who was drafted by Los Angeles in the third round of the 2008 NHL Draft, also had two assists in 42 NHL games with the Kings, Arizona Coyotes and Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Senators currently sit in fifth place in the North Division with a record of 11-14-3-0 (25 points).
