Flohockey AHL Power Ranking: Laval Rocket Soars Above AHL

Patrick Williams to deliver FloHockey AHL Power Ranking Throughout the regular season, all 32 teams are listed every week.

Laval Rocket won't go anywhere. They will remain number one in the AHL Power rankings for the fourth consecutive week (and the fifth time in seven weeks). In the Western Conference, as the AHL regular season approaches April 20, a round-trip game between the Colorado Hawks and the Texas Star is taking place.

Check out where your favorite teams rank according to Flohockey AHL Power and follow them throughout the season to see how your club goes up or falls.

1) Laval Rocket (-)

A six-game road trip could be a good tweak for the Calder Cup playoffs. Three games against rival Belleville to end the regular season should be kept at high intensity. The Montreal Canadiens’ playoff fate is likely to depend on the last game of the NHL regular season, which is a focus on the Rockets.

2) Texas Star (+1)

The stars swept through five games. Now, visits to sweep Milwaukee in two weekend games can almost lock in the star's central division.

3) Colorado Eagles (-1)

Ontario’s back-to-back weekend losses first relaxed the Eagles’ control. Texas is behind them, playing the leading role of the Western Conference. Colorado's Turks playoff showdown will be a treat.

4) Rochester Americans (-)

Rochester continues to hang out in a chase after the North and Eastern Conference protagonists. Can they keep enough distance from the Rockets until the team meets in Rochester on April 11?

5) Ontario Rule (+2)

Sweeping Colorado in two weekend games is a feat for any team, especially during the reign, dominating a timeline filled with March and still without goalkeeper Erik Portillo. Next is five games of three games in San Jose.

6) Hershey Bear (-1)

The two-time defending Calder Cup champion Bears continued the disappointing match. They beat 6-1-1-1 in the first nine games of a very record 10 road trip, but in the weekend series at home, Utika swept the last. They played a game in the Lehigh Valley and then had a very win two-thirds weekend with a back-to-back home game against Hartford.

7) Charlotte chess piece (+1)

After an impressive 3-1 home, the Checkers are back on the way again after a great parade show. In 16 games in 31 nights, Checkers locked in the Atlantic Division playoffs 10-5-0-1. Now, it's all about the playoff positioning.

8) Abbotsford Canucks (+3)

Despite the recall of the Vancouver Karnaks, Abbotsford continues to win. They took San Jose apart during two weekend road games. Their playoff appearance made them a major issue in the Pacific division.

9) Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (-)

The breakup in Charlotte was a success. However, the recall of Pittsburgh penguins by Ville Koivunen and Rutger McGroarty, who lost their highest prospects, could be a big test.

10) Providence Brown Bear (-4)

Top goalkeeper Michael Dipietro was out, and the P-bruins swept Charlotte’s two games before the loss of family regulations ended the weekend.

11) Admiral Milwaukee (-1)

Henderson gave Admiral Milwaukee difficulties in February. This happens again in the return showdown hosted by the Silver Knights. Eight of eight of the nine games will travel to Texas this weekend. Admirals need to perform a clean scan of the two games to keep the title of the Central Division realistic.

12) Coachella Valley Firebirds (+1)

The Firebirds swept the Wolves on their weekend visits with a 3-1-0-0 victory over four games between Calgary and Chicago. After a quick stop to face Colorado, it returned to the two of Henderson.

13) Toronto Maris (-1)

A 4-1 lead against Bridgeport glided from Marlies last Sunday afternoon. That wouldn't happen. Perhaps it's a wake-up call for a team that has only won six games since February 17. They have a chance to put out in Utica on Wednesday.

14) Syracuse Tightening (+1)

Syracuse beat Utica and then broke up with Rochester. At least for the time being, this gives a little room to breathe.

15) Cleveland Monster (-1)

Cleveland has played at home for four straight games, but it was two against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, plus a visit from Grand Rapids and Toronto. It then ended the regular season four times in a row. A big weekend against the Penguins can put monsters in trouble.

16) Springfield Thunderbird (+5)

When the Thunderbirds saw the chances of the playoffs endangered danger, they turned the course by sweeping three games. They are in good condition now.

17) Senator Belleville (-)

For B-Sens, the home game against Syracuse on Wednesday was almost a must-win. The loss of regulations will give them four points in the playoffs this weekend in two tough two-game visits from Rochester.

18) Lehigh Valley Phantoms (+2)

The Phantom achieved a huge victory in Laval. They also have new faces for 2024 first-round draft picks Jett Luchanko. Like Springfield, they are in the playoff position.

19) San Jose Barracuda (-1)

Abbotsford hit the Barracuda in a back-to-back match. Yaroslav Askarov misses it very much.

20) Grand Rapids Griffin (-1)

Griffins had a rare weekend with no games, but they will end the regular season with nine games in 18 days.

21) Calgary Wrangler (-5)

The ongoing Wrangler struggle continued for two weekends of losses. They have only five points left in Bakersfield. If the Wranglers didn't turn this around quickly, they could have left themselves completely missing playoffs.

22) Chicago Wolf (-)

The Wolf is on the road in six of the next seven games. They are on the brink of a playoff location and need to use these last few weeks to get into the form and push third.

23) Rockford Icehogs (-)

Rockford has been 1-1-0 against Manitoba in the past two weeks, with a team kicking the strings. This is about the end of the season.

24) Bakersfield Condor (+2)

Olivier Rodrigue is recalling the Edmonton Oilers. Bakersfield Net may now belong to Brett Bruchur.

25) Tucson Passerby (-)

Bakersfield is Tucson's closest challenger, with two games this weekend between teams between Tucson. This likely determines the fate of the two clubs. In addition to two games against Rockford later this month, the Roadrunners are in the Tucson Sunshine for the rest of the regular season.

26) San Diego Seagull (+1)

Head coach Matt McIlvane's Seagulls continue to be stubborn in Chase in the Pacific Division. The three-game winning streak puts them within the distance of their playoff spots. Their tear history dates back to February 12.

27) Hartford Wolf Pack (-3)

The pack sometimes makes it fun, but their playoff hopes are almost broken over the weekend. Their only hope is that there are three games left against Bridgeport, but at this point they will need a lot of help from other teams.

28) Comet Utica (+2)

Utica held a potential playoff chase in March. That wasn't eliminated, but Comet could still play the spoiler role.

29) Henderson Silver Knight (-1)

For the Silver Cavaliers, losing one win and one win is not enough, but they stabbed Milwaukee last Saturday to allocate two games.

30) Iowa Wild (-1)

Iowa and Manitoba will figure out who stays in the Central Division basement.

31) Manitoba Moose (-)

The final three weeks of the season were an audition to see who won the Winnipeg Jets playoff recall.

32) Bridgeport Islander (-)

The Islanders grabbed a team from time to time. Over the past month, they have won the roads between Laval and Toronto.

Among the top 10: Admiral Milwaukee
