Grand Rapids Griffins made a 4-2 decision Saturday night in Iowa at Springfield.
Since joining the AHL in 2001, Griffins will play in the playoffs. They won the Calder Cup title in 2013 and 2017.
Grand Rapids will be one of five teams that qualify for the Calder Cup playoffs in the central division; the top three teams will reach the semifinals, while the first-round series of fourth and fifth-placed No. 1 and two-thirds were successful.
