It took nearly five and a half hours, but on Wednesday, Marvel Studios announced the cast of a big release next summer Avengers: The End of the World. They show off with a simple but stretched PR stunt, in which 27 directors’ chairs (each with the actor’s name) are revealed every 15 minutes or so in a live broadcast. Then, it appears as one of the actors we know, Robert Downey Jr. The long break between each revelation gives a lot of time to have the internet having fun with stunts, which is exactly what Disney and Marvel want.
Fans joke about who can appear in the movie, who will appear in the movie, who they want to see in the movie, etc. Brands are involved, and the cuts are getting deeper and deeper, and while the whole thing took a day, it's all fun.
