Canadian Prime Minister Carney is expected to call for SNAP election on April 28, Globe and Mail report
(Reuters) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to hold a temporary federal election on April 28, Global and Post reported on Thursday.
According to the report, Carney is expected to make the announcement on Sunday.
Although the next election doesn't expire until October 20, Carney hopes to use his Liberal Party in January's polls to threaten Canada and former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's major recovery since President Donald Trump began threatening Canada and former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's resignation.
Carney, a former two central banker with no previous political or election campaign experience, occupied the liberal leader by persuading members of the party two weeks ago, and he was Trump's best candidate.
The Prime Minister's Office did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment outside of normal working hours.
