Spurs are unsure about Gregg Popvich returning to coach: Report

Gregg Popovich recovered from a stroke in November, but the team is still unsure of his position next season.
“Veter Harrison Barnes said Popovich was “advanced” in recovery. Another source said the coach was promoted to many people who suffered nine months of stroke progression in five months. Still no one knows if he could return off the court next season,” ESPN reported.
The player was unable to talk to the legendary coach for weeks after the stroke, and it was months before he could walk and finally stand up and talk to the team.
“It’s very tough for me,” Spurs forward Keldon Johnson said via ESPN. “He has been our role model since I got here. He has been that leader.”
He added: “He really shapes the guy I’m young,” Johnson said. “A lot of people think pop music is so harsh. No, no, no. He is one of the best people I've ever experienced. He's nice to everyone and put everyone in front of himself.”
On February 27, Pop came in and talked with the team. This is the first time De'aaron Fox has met in person since his deal with the team on February 2.
“It will go from serious to serious and laughter,” Fox told ESPN. “But he knows how to keep people involved, and I think that's why he's able to do what he's doing for so long. Obviously, we want him to be as healthy as possible. But, I definitely want to get the guidance from the pop.”
With the indefinite pop-up, Victor Wembanyama emits blood clots and Fox throughout the rest of the season due to Pinkie surgery, so San Antonio needs some prayer.
