Right-wing states and local governments try to follow Elon's footsteps and do it themselves

Elon Musk attempts to destroy the federal government by weakening institutions that provide public services, keep Americans air and water clean, tell us about the upcoming weather conditions, and protect us from predatory companies. Conservative governments across the country are so impressed by the effort that they also want to ruin themselves and mess up for their voters.
Business Insider reports that a few state and local governments are replicating Musk's “slash and burning script” and hope to eliminate “waste” government plans. The program is held in at least 18 states, counties and towns. Export Report:
As the governor, state legislator and business executives, this driving force is carried out through executive orders and legislative actions. They have adopted quirky names including Wisconsin’s Goat Commission and Florida Floating. A state even has a bulldog in this case.
If it isn't that sad, the self-indulgent impulses on display here would be interesting. Misleading and ignorant Americans seem to think that their primary services, such as education, water, roads and weather reports, would be cheaper if privatized. Unfortunately, they are completely wrong. Instead, cutting public funds often means your life will be harder. A conservative state legislator's comment was put forward by BI, showing the thought process here:
New Jersey lawmaker Alex Sauickie sponsored a ticketing bill in his state, saying spending efficiency is king. “We’re going to have to make these decisions and then say, ‘Hey, we can’t use taxpayer’s money to fund a minor league baseball field, tennis court or domino club,” he said. The state auditor will lead the group with 20 public.
Yes, a free minor league court? That would be unbearable. Cut money to let towns and residents build their My own court. This will be more efficient and cheap for everyone.
It should be obvious at this point that Musk has not improved the government's efficiency and will not save taxpayers' money. A recent report shows federal spending set a new record last month. Indeed, government spending in February was as high as $36 billion compared to when he took office in February last year. This is because most institutions Musk intimidated represent tiny fractions of federal spending (which means, for money, they are actually very effective). Most federal spending depends on rights such as Social Security and Medicare, including Americans at Trump’s base (including Trump’s base) in numerous places.
But fans who are truly infected with the government's “efficiency” should not worry, because Musk seems to want to get rid of these plans, too. Doge has carried out numerous attacks on the Social Security Agency, seemingly determined to reduce the size and rope. Musk recently called Social Security a “Ponzi scheme.”
