The man threw the injured cat into a trash bin in Orange County authorities said

A man was arrested shortly after posting a video that allegedly showed him taking out an injured cat from a garbage bag and throwing it into an Orange County trash can.
According to a press release from Mission Viejo City, the cat stayed there for 15 hours and found several minutes before the bin that was supposed to be cleared.
The city shared surveillance camera footage from the incident on Wednesday. A few hours later, a woman stepped forward and identified the animal as her cat, Booboo, and the man was her roommate.
According to the city, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrested the man later that day on suspicion of felony abuse. As of Thursday, Booboo remained in a veterinary hospital and was treated for injuries.

The suspect's name has not been released yet.
Mission Viejo animal services director Brynn Lavison said she was very grateful for the sheriff's department's assistance and was moved by the public's attention to Booboo's welfare.
“Many of you donated to her; others asked about her adoption status; she said in a statement: “Most people disdain for animal abuse. “We are proud of the pet-loving community that truly cares about the animals we live in. ”
According to Mission Viejo officials, the cat was left in a bin near the 25,000 block of Laguna Hills.
On Tuesday, the City Animal Services received a report about the injured cat and took it to an animal hospital for evaluation and treatment. Officials promised that they would “make sure Booboo is healthy” and “ultimately reunite with her loved master.”
