Roomba's Irobot 205 Robovac can be eight weeks without being emptied
Irobot just announced some new Roomba vacuums that have fun features. Roomba 205 DustCompactor Combination Robot is Promoting "The industry's first mechanical and mechanical debris system." In other words, it squeezes dust and debris together like a garbage compactor.
This allows the user to go for eight weeks without having to empti the vacuum. It also eliminates the need for dedicated debris boxes.
Otherwise, the 205 is a full-featured hybrid vacuum/mop. There is a four-stage vacuum system with Clearview LiDAR for improved navigation. The company says the unit provides "Increased power suction and improved cleaning performance by 250%" Compared with the Roomba 600 series robots.
The Roomba Plus 405 Combo Robot + Autowash Dock is another hybrid, but the dock pays special attention to the mop function. It includes the company's new DualClean mop pad, which rotates at 200 rpm for some extra power. It also comes with Roomba's automatic dock, which can be washed and dried mop pads individually. This technology is first used.
The company also announced the 505 Combination Robot + Autowash Dock, best at the cleaning edge. To be consistent with these new products, the Roomba Home App is in urgent need of an upgrade. Redesign should allow "More intuitive control, the ability to create routines and schedules, real-time monitoring of their devices, and access to advanced custom cleaning options."
The Roomba 205 DustCompactor Combo Robot starts at $469, while the Roomba Plus 405 Combo Robot + Autowash Dock costs $800. The price of 505 is as high as $1,000. Bookings will be made on March 18 via Irobot or select retailers. The company also announced a new entry-level vacuum cleaner called the Roomba 105 for $319.
