Bouchard adds GM title to crunch coaching duties | theahl.com

Tampa Bay Lightning has been named Joel Bouchard As General Manager of Syracuse Crunch. He will also continue to serve as head coach.

Bouchard, 51, joined the organization on June 26, 2023 and guided Crunch to play 76-47-12-9 and back-to-back appearances in the Calder Cup playoffs.

The Montreal native previously served as general manager of Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of QMJHL, from 2011 to 2018. In addition to serving as general manager, he also served as head coach for Armada from 2014 to 2018. Bouchard also served as general manager of the Canadian National Youth Team for two years and won the 2018 Chard Bounthier the Medal and Sillber and Sillber in Silbrine and Silbriors of Sillber and Silbriors of Sillber and Silbriors of Sillber and Silbriors of Sillber and Silbriors in 2010.

Bouchard has coached Crunch, San Diego Gulls and Laval Rocket in 386 AHL games and scored a record of 187-147-30-22. As a player, Bouchard skated for 15 professional seasons, including 364 national hockey league games with Calgary, Nashville, Dallas, Phoenix, New Jersey, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh and New York Islanders. Bouchard also competed in 293 games in the AHL with the St. John's Flames, Albany River Rats, Hartford Wolves, Bridgeport Sand Tigers and Hamilton Bulldogs, and became an AHL All-Star in 1995 and 1996.
