Long-term journalist convenes LeBron James in “Face of the Alliance” commentary

Longtime sports columnist Jason Whitlock commented on LeBron James' new face.
Whitlock wrote on X: “LeBron James' Mercy Party must end. He chose to go to the Olympics. He started a barber talk show and now wants to complain about the barbershop sports conversation. Stop it. He decided to bring his unlimited opinions to the political stage… He polarized himself… He polarized the NBA… These liars who defended the complaints he needed to pay, needed to make a responsibility. Can't take the heat from their burning fire.”
LeBron's comments after the Timberwolves-Lakers Game and his further comments on X seem to have caused it.
He was asked about him being the next face in the league, and about Anthony Edwards’ All-Star saying he doesn’t try to be the face of the NBA.
LeBron asked: “Channing Frye said…'Why do you want to be the face of the league when everyone who covers our game and talks about our games every day?”
LeBron also posted some ideas on the subject before Whitlock heard enough.
“It's totally my point of view, but anyway. The call started. It's not about “the face of the game,” nor about a person or a show, but about the culture of basketball, the most beautiful game in the world. Our game has never been better. Incredible young stars and some older stars from all over the world 🤣🤣🤣 Steph Curry should be all we're talking about today. Let's talk about how good OKC and the Cavaliers have performed this season, there are two completely different styles and break down the reasons and ways they are. Of course, if the players don't execute, we need to discuss and break down too.”
