Estonia promises military aid to Ukraine worth 100 million euros
Estonia has pledged to provide further military assistance to Ukraine to prevent it from resisting Russian invasions, as the war will reach three years on Monday.
“We have decided with the government to buy 10,000 shells and will be as soon as possible,” Prime Minister Kristen Michal said in a speech at the Estonian National Museum in Tartu on Saturday night. He was sent to Ukraine.”
“The armed forces will also provide 750,000 food packaging from their own reserves,” he added.
In addition, Estonia will provide Kiev with its own military equipment worth 100 million euros ($106 million), Michel said.
Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur wrote on social media platform X that delivery will involve “10,000 rounds of 155mm shells.”
Representatives of the ministry had previously handed over a list of products and services with Ukrainian companies and selected items to assist packages based on their military needs.
Since February 24, 2022, Ukraine has been defending the full Russian invasion and is largely dependent on Western military aid.
Estonia, a member of the EU and NATO bordering Russia, is one of Ukraine's most determined supporters.
Michel emphasized in Tartu, Estonia's second largest city: “Ukraine can rely on Estonia now and in the future.”
