German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock expressed relief when Hamas released six Israeli hostages.
“But relief and joy meet again the bad scenes of the weak parade on the stage,” Baerbock wrote on X on Saturday.
“We also regret the fate of Shiri Silberman Bibas since early this morning,” Baerbock added. “Hamas terrorists are responsible for her death, her two little kids Kfir and Ariel. I'm thinking about family, theirs The pain is almost unbearable.”
The mother and her two children also have German citizenship.
The second phase is still waiting
Baerbock warned that the second phase of hostage release must now be achieved. “The lives of the rest of the hostages are threatened – and among them are still Germans.” So far, the Germans are dual German-Israel nationals.
Negotiations on the release of the last hostage and the final outcome of the war have not yet begun.
