LA Open Resource Center for People Who Lost Jobs in Fire

On Tuesday morning, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass touted the opening of four new resource centers to assist Angelenos, who lost revenue due to a catastrophic wildfire. .
Open in partnership with Los Angeles County, these centers provide a one-stop location where people affected by the fire can receive relief funds, get job placement and training, find temporary employment and apply for small business loans. They can also get emergency shelter and rent assistance, as well as help in the center and other services.
“Another benefit of this center is that individuals can work one-on-one with their employees,” Bass said. “Sometimes, what gets people benefit is the application process. It's confusing, complicated, but here, you You can actually work with individual employees who will go through the process step by step.”

Regardless of their immigration status, individuals will be able to access the service.
“The fire was devastating for many people, and many lost their homes and their families.
