Trudeau meets King Charles when he finishes visiting London

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ended his London visit with King Charles and returned to Ottawa.

Trudeau held a weekend security summit in London, making Canada the only non-European country represented in negotiations on how to ensure the Ukraine ceasefire was actually held.

Analysts say that while U.S. President Donald Trump withdraws from NATO and accuses Ukraine of invasion, Trudeau’s visit is intended to maintain Canada’s role in the transatlantic alliance.

Trudeau said he would raise affairs with the king who is most important to Canadians, adding that Canada's sovereignty and independence seem to be the public's idea.

The Prime Minister visited King Charles at his Sandlingham estate on Monday morning. As customary, Buckingham Palace did not mention the subject of the conversation in its readings.

The King will also welcome Trump to the UK in the future, with British media criticizing Trump for his fierce exchanges at the White House after Trump scolding Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
