Penguins' Murashov named AHL Player of the Week TheAHL.com

Springfield, Massachusetts …American Hockey League announces Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goalie today Sergei Murashov has been selected as Howies Hockey Video/AHL Player of the Week Period ending October 26, 2025.

Murashov made two starts last week and saved 51 of 52 shots he faced, with a goals-against average of 0.50 and a save percentage of 0.981.

Murashov made 26 saves in the Penguins' 4-1 win over Lehigh Valley on Wednesday night, and on Friday he made 25 saves in a 4-0 win over Charlotte, earning his first save of the season.

Murashov, 21, has five wins with a 1.40 goals-against average and .949 save percentage in his first five starts of the 2025-26 season, helping Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to a perfect 7-0-0-0 record so far. Murashov, Pittsburgh's fourth-round selection in the 2022 NHL Draft, has a 17-3-0 record, a 2.34 GAA, a .921 save percentage and two shutouts in 21 AHL games with the Penguins since his debut last October.
